Education: University of Central Florida

Chris Leese is passionate about performing and teaching all the reed instruments. When asked which instrument she likes best, she says, “The one she’s playing now!” Her first instrument was the oboe.
She currently performs with: Central Florida Winds (oboe, English Horn, alto clarinet); DSC Orchestra and Band (oboe and EH); Advent Health Orchestra (oboe and EH; Licorice Sticks (2023 ICA convention in Denver showcased her alto clarinet feature); and Moonlighters (Lead alto sax). She has been a woodwind doubler for many area musical theatre productions.
Chris loves working with budding musicians and has had students make All State Band and other prestigious groups. Most receive superior ratings for solos and ensembles at state level. She has taught music to students of all ages (7 to 65)!
